Hi there , my name is Traci, I am 42 years old and I started this journey ‘around’ August of 2010, or that is when I had my first ‘ oh my God moment’, or how did I, or wow, I REALLY do weigh 245 pounds, what the hell do I do now? That’s when I started Weight Watchers. I won’t say it’s a bad program, it isn’t, it taught me a lot.  It taught me to journal, which is REALLY important!

Then  I found Beth Downey and circuit training which I LOVE! But it doesn’t love me sadly! :( A total knee replacement later, which was not because of the gym, but because of an old injury I did in middle school to my ACL– I’m still struggling with that injury now and with my shoulder–I have frozen shoulder in both shoulders. I also have patella baja in my knee, which means my knee cap lowered after the surgery and they will not be able to fix it.

I have lost over 80 pounds ( I have gained a little back, I am currently about 165) with hardly any working out because I couldn’t, but I wasn’t going to give up, wasn’t going to let that stop me! I was tired of being tired, and scared and frustrated and feeling unlovable, to ME! Anyone know that feeling? So then Beth introduced me to Tosca Reno’s ‘Eating Clean’ and I WAS hooked! And I have followed it to this day. You CAN do this with just FOOD if you are hurt , you can lose weight if you can’t work out, don’t be afraid!
I KNOW it may seen overwhelming at first, but hang in there with me, you CAN DO this, I can show you some tricks and give you information, I was scared at first too, I thought I couldn’t afford it, or I couldn’t cook this or that or it would be way too hard but I am doing it, you can too!

So, let’s do this together, you and me, we CAN!!! :) One pound at a time, I will be there holding your hand when you cross that finish line baby… :)

  1. You are AMAZING! My gosh – this is so wonderful. I love the picture progression in your header. You radiate – but I’ll say this: It looks like you radiate no matter what size you are, and that is your inner spirit. So keep on radiating girl! You made my day.

  2. Awww thank you Marilyn!

    • Thanks so much Farrah for stopping by, sorry I am so late in replying! With some of medical issues I have going on, I am limited in my computer time-it really frustrates me. I have so much I want to do and say but after a few hours, I just can’t type anymore! 😦

What I would like if you have the time or are inclined. Is a before/after pic, your before/after stats and a brief backstory of your journey(optional), You can also include links to your blog, website, youtube, social media. You can email it to transformationphotos@gmail.com or With your permission, I could use before/after photos from your site, & if you have a blog post already on your transformation story, you can include the link to that as well and I could use that. I hope you can contribute.
        Thanks again,
        Rhonda

      • Hi Rhonda,
        Rhonda,

Can you give me till this weekend? I am pretty busy during the week. This sounds amazing and again I would be honored, I believe the key in all this is trying to help someone else, that is the main reason I have this blog. 🙂

        Take care,
        Traci

Thanks, Traci
